History
In 1975, Gordon Anderson started Anderson Tax Service at his home in La Verne. Over 40 years later, Gordon is an Enrolled Agent and still preparing tax returns for many clients that have since become family friends.
Anderson Tax Service had simple beginnings in Gordon’s living room, and over the years moved to two other locations in La Verne. We’ve been at our current location, at the corner of Foothill and Wheeler, since the late 1990s.
Anderson Tax Service has been a family business from the very beginning. Over the years we’ve had many employees that have become more like family, including Tracy, Patricia, Chuck, Brianne, and Melanie. We greatly miss Pamela, who passed away in October of 2017, and we hope Jeanette is doing well in her retirement.

Gordon Anderson, E.A.
Gordon Anderson is the president of Anderson Tax Service, Inc., and has been preparing tax returns for over 40 years. Gordon is an Enrolled Agent, admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service. Gordon is also a real estate broker with GMA Real Estate. Gordon received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of La Verne in 1989, and has studied advanced taxation at California State University, Fullerton.

Patricia Sounthong Juarez
Patricia Juarez has been working with Anderson Tax Service for nearly 20 years. Patricia is a tax preparer registered with CTEC, the California Tax Education Council. Patricia is also a licensed real estate broker and president of GMA Real Estate Services., Inc. Patricia is a mortgage loan originator with the NMLS, and has helped many of our tax clients with home loans, and real estate purchases and sales.

Chuck Wise
Chuck Wise has been working with Anderson Tax Service for nearly 20 years. Chuck is tax preparer registered with the California Tax Education Council. Chuck has been a volunteer tax preparer for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, which is administered by the IRS. Chuck is also a United States Navy Veteran.

Brianne Carrillo
Brianne Carrillo has been working with Anderson Tax Service since 2014, and prior to her time here, Brianne was a tax preparer at Solano Tax Service for several years. Brianne is a tax preparer registered with CTEC, the California Tax Education Council. Brianne is also a licensed notary public, and has been notarizing documents for 13 years, and is a member of the National Notary Association.

Melanie Cruz
Melanie Cruz joined the Anderson Tax Service team in 2019. She is a tax preparer registered with CTEC, the California Tax Education Council, and a member of the National Association of Tax Preparers (NATP). Melanie is a Southern California native who recently returned to her home state after living in Idaho for several years, where she worked at a CPA office.
